United Nations Forum on Forests

The United Nations Forum on Forests (UNFF) is an intergovernmental policy forum which promotes the management, conservation and sustainable development of all types of forests and aims to strengthen long-term political commitment to this end. The UNFF was established in 2000 by the UN Economic and Social Council. It has universal membership and is therefore composed of all Member States of the United Nations.

Collaborative Partnership on Forests

The Collaborative Partnership (CPF) on Forests was established in April 2001, following the recommendation of the UN Economic and Social Council The CPF is composed of 14 international organizations working on forests and has two main objectives: to support the work of the United Nations Forum on Forests and its member countries and to foster increased cooperation and coordination on forests.

Member States of the United Nations

The United Nations Forum on Forests (UNFF) is a subsidiary body of the UN Economic and Social Council, with universal membership. As such, it is composed of all member states of the United Nations, with full and equal participation, including voting rights. Each Member State of the UNFF has designated a UNFF National Focal Point within its government.
